This finely crafted wine comes from vines grown in the Minnesota River Valley. The vineyard sits on a south facing slope, in an old limestone quarry. The rocks,
slope and cliffs surrounding the vines, contribute to early morning warming with temperatures frequently 10 degrees above the surrounding area. The open, expansive quarry floor fosters a steady breeze on the vines, which keeps them dry and cools them in the evening. The limestone rich soil is coarse, well drained and alkaline, similar to what is found in Burgundy France.
